hey
when i boot up my computer and windows starts (i have xp)
a alert pops up saying it cant find the
file "system32.exe" i dont know what this file does but
or anything... i think it might have been infected with a
worm of some sort and i deleted it... but is there any
way to replace this file or is it even important? how
would i get the window to stop popping up?
any info would be appreciated

That file is the virus. You don't want it back. It's being called
from a left over registry entry. Your AV program probably deleted
the virus but the registry entry is still there.
