I recently cleared my computer of adware. since then upon booting up i receive an "Error loading Windows/system32/bridge.dll file cannot be loaded. The dll is no longer in the system32 folder. I used unerase wizard to see if it had been deleted but found nothing. any help would be appeciated.

If you can verify that bridge.dll is spyware you need to find what
program is trying to access this file and delete or modify it. I had a
similar situation and used Norton System works and it told me what program
was accessing it. The problem was I put the file in the recycle bin cause
it looked like a legitimate Windows file. Didn't have any problems for a
couple of days but when I tried to access a mail message with an attachment
a screen popup saying it was updating MS Office. Finished the update and
everything works but apparently the file I deleted had something to do with
Office.
Or you could always find a copy of the file on another pc that you know
is not infected and put it on your pc in the proper place if it is a
legitimate windows file.

Ok Problem solved. Im posting this so anyone else having the same problem will know what to do. I was hacked. The person responsible not only installed the spyware on my system but also decided to drop a couple of trojans there too. The bridge.dll was caught and deleted by adaware but the program was still there, causing the error at start up. adware/spyware programs will not catch everything. I was surprised to find out that even though i recently cleaned my system i was still infected with over 20 types of spyware/adware. which painstakingly took 3 hours to eventually clean manually. http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/index.html?source=appvisit this link will take you where you can d/l bazooka. its a spyware scanner. it doesnt clean them, but tells you how to go through the process of doing it manually
Even if you dont have the problems i had, this freeware will help you clean the registry of unwanted values.

Bridge.dll is used as part of spyware. What happens after the program is deleted by AdAware or SpyBot SD, the pointers remain. The easiest way to clean it out is to use HiJack This. The program gives you a log sheet and the folks at Computer Cops can then review it and tell you which lines need to be fixed, which HiJack This can do. They can be found at http://computercops.biz

It worked for me.
