My computer froze and after shutting down it remains in a
frozen state. After starting nothing happens at all and I
mean nothing.

You need to open your PC case to carefully inspect for
loose components and or connections. This may be the power
supply unit has become faulty. And check the tower main
power plug connection, push in firmly. And your
motherboard should have a rather long rectangle shapped
power plug on it from the power supply as well. So as you
said, you do not hear any beep or other sounds, or see any
bootup messages on screen at all ? Re-seating cards, or re-
plugging in connectors may help, or try the PC in a
differant electric outlet.

I've tried all of that. The CDRW drive LED light stays on
and will not open; almost as though it is stuck but it was
not being used when this happened. When I unplug the long
regtangular shaped plug that has a wide thin clothlike
wire I am then able to open the CDRW but nothing else
happens. I've unplugged everything else I can, moved to a
different outlet to no avail. It's still stuck. Is there
anything else I can try?
