System won't read a data CD, but will play a music CD.
The CD-ROM drive works normally in another machine. I've
tried several data CD'S so I know the CD'S are ok. Is
there a registry setting that could prevent the system
from reading a data CD? Any assistance would be very
much appreciated.

I've seen this problem with some Toshiba CD's & DVD's fitted to notebook
PC's. Its usually meant a replacement CDROM/DVD

The system is a desktop, and I already replaced the CD-
ROM Drive and am having the same problem. The problem
seems to be a Windows 2000 setting or corrupt file.
