When I tried to start my computer today I got a start up
message that said:

"File missing or corrupt System32\Drivers\pci.sys.
Insert set up cd and press r at setup screen to attempt
to repair".

So I insert my Windows XP home Set up Cd and boot off the
Cd and it gets almost to the set up screen and then says:

"Filesetupdd.sys could not be loaded. Error is Code 4."

and the set up stops there. How can I fix this?? Or
must I take my computer somewhere and get it fixed??
Please respond in e-mail to my above address.

Do you have a startup floppy disk?

If so try booting from that and using the DOS prompt to copy/replace the
files mentioned from the CD install disk.
