I have a P4 1.4 with 256MB of RAM running XP Home. I installed partition Magic and tried to create a 10GB partition for backups and such. Durring the process partition Magic quite at about 30% and asked to reboot. On rebooting i get a blue screen for just a second after the XP splash screen and it reboots, it just loops that way.Using Partition Magics utility it says drive c: has a seek error. drives are in NTFS and nothing ive tried lets me see the contents of drive c:. Even on trying to reinstall XP it shows that the drive is empty and wont let me install overtop the existing install, it wants to format. How can i repair this drive? Or at least access it to move my data. Thanks in advance

Rob, did you try Powerquests website for any info? Can you install the
Recovery Console from the WinXP CD and see if
you could maybe repair the Boot sector and/or BootCFG. Go here for more
info
