System volume information

OK, I followed the help files for xp home (to gain access)
and it still won't let me in. I also don't seem to have a
security tab to allow access. I also tried cursing,
grumbling, and saying "open sesame." Any suggestions?

System Volume Information is the System Restore data and should not be
modified directly.
What exactly are you trying to do?

Trying to allow AVG to scan for and clean a trojan
(secthought.b & a)I've been to the support site and
followed the directions, but I can't get in.

AV can't clean within System Volume Information.

Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.
