Hello, i'm running windows XP pro on NTFS file system. I
want to empty the "System Volume Information" folder,
BUT, when i try to access it, it sais "Access Denied".
I'm an administrator on the computer, and i would realy
like to empty this folder as it takes above 1GB of HD mem.
How can i do it ?

Thank you for replying, but my question is more direct:
Can I access the "System Volume Information" folder
(as "WINDOWS" folder or any other folder) or can't i do
that. I do know that on FAT32 i can access it as easy as
any other folder, but on NTFS it is different ("Access
Denied"). So is there a possibility NAVIGATING the folder
contents on NTFS ?

Thank you.

Alex;
There is a way, but I do not remember the specifics since it is
unnecessary because System Restore can do it directly, possibly in
Safe Mode.

System Restore deletes all Restore Points simply by disabling System
Restore.
However the folder will again fill to the level set in system Restore
Settings which is why I suggested disabling.

Ok, if you are absolutely possitive that disabling the
Restore will empty the restore folder (and not just won't
add new), then its good enough for me.

Thank you.
