System Volume Information folder won't go away

I'm running XP Pro, I have 5 partitions on 4 drives.
I turned off the monitoring of drives within System Restore except for
the C drive.
All my partitions have a System Volume Information folder on them.
I can't remove them by deletion.
I tried rebooting into a command prompt, then they're not visible to
delete.

Any suggestions?

Jaze,

Those folders [other than in C:\ drive] will no longer contain the restore points [so no bother about hard disk space].

If you want to delete the folders, see:
