Hello, I just got a new computer with xp. In 2000 I had
a system tray on the left that had programs that I
frequently used. There was an icon for the desktop that
automatically gave me the desktop. XP is not showing that
system tray and even when I go to the start menu there is
no desktop icon. This means I have to minimize any open
windows to access folder on the desktop. Can anyone help?
thanks,

adrian

And make sure the "quick launch" option is enabled in the
taskbar and start menu properties
