system stutters since last update

I have a new ASUS M2N notebook with XPpro. I updated from
the website last thurs. Since then the mouse stutters as
does anything else i do eg play a movie on media player.
When Irestore the system to before the update it resolves
the problem
Help please

Try doing a Disk Cleanup and Defrag your hard drive!
