I have XPp SP2 with Netzero ISP. I have a phone line hooked into the same
jack as my computer modem. The phone is located on a table next to the
computer. After I have shutdown my computer, it will turn on by itself when
the phone rings. My system worked fine until I install McAfee (which I have
since uninstalled). I started having several other system problems, so I did
a system restore. I checked my BIOS setting, modem settings. The only
thing I have not done is uninstall and reinstall Netzero. What should I try
next?

Why are you posting this again? Did you read the replies to your post that
you made at 2pm in the general group?

look at the modem's settings in device manager. I dare say you've got the
computer set to allow the modem to wake it from sleep / shutdown.
