System Speaker

The system speaker is the irritating beep. Why do you want to use this?
(unless you want your computer beep Jingle Bells during booting up of
course)

I believe you mean the integrated soundscard instead? Anyway for more info
on this you are in the wrong newsgroup. Try the Windows 2000 or hardware
newsgroup for this.

I tried this newsgroup because I was getting no responses on the other
newsgroups. The system speaker is a "speaker". Capable of producing all
sounds that a speaker can produce. Not just "Jingle Bells". Many of the
computers I am working on do not need sound all of the time, but when they
do need it I would like to be able to use the system speaker other then
hooking up a set of speakers (which I don't have) on each machine. It would
save me time and money.

An integrated speaker then :-). This is still different from the system
beeper ;-)

If you installed your soundcard correctly you should be able to adjust your
volume settings in Control Panel-> Sounds and Audio Devices.

If this is the case and you set everything to max and the Mute option isn't
selected you might want to double check whether the cable is hooked up
correctly inside the case.
