How do I disable the system speaker from beeping aside
from just unplugging it. It didn't start beeping untill i
updated from Windows 98 to 2000. I tried to diable it in
the device manager but it didn't work.

When and how does it beep? The system speaker is usually an indicator of a
BIOS message or some sort of system emergency. It's better to troubleshoot
the reason for the beeping, than to simply disable the speaker.

If you want to disable it, there may be a setting in the BIOS.

You can find and configure it under Device Manager|View|Show Hidden
Devices|Non Plug and Play|Beep|Action|Properties|Driver, then set the
"Startup Type:" to "Disabled"

It beeps all the time. When we try to save on AutoCAD and
stuff like that. Not necessarly when there is an error...
