System settings and Invitation

I am trying to send an invitation to a remote computer to connect to my PC but it always fails popping up a message saying "Your current system settings prevent you from sending an invitation". No other detail is provided.
How can I solve this problem? I'm using Windows XP Pro and I have administrator rights

Its possible the "Solicited Remote Assistance" policy is *disabled* on your PC. As an Administrator
go to "Start -> Run" and type gpedit.msc at the command line. Navigate to the "Local Computer
Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Remote Assistance", double
click on the "Solicited Remote Assistance" policy and select "Not configured".
