I am using XP Home.
Today I wanted to use System Restore to put the settings back several
days. When the computer restarted I got a notification in SR that SR
could not restore the computer to the date selected. I tried it on
another date (in Aug.) and it did the same thing. I have used SR
several times in the past and this is the first time that this problem
has come up.

Any suggestions?
Thank you,

Bob;
There may be corrupted data in system Restore.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.
