no matter how many days i go back to try to restore my
system it runs thru and says it didnt change my system. i
tried to restore at four different dates. all same answer.

But have you changed anything on your computer during
that time?
If not it will not change it.

Byron;
There may be corrupted data in system Restore.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.

Sam;
Where there are noticeable changes or not, System Restore should still
function.
There is probably corruption in the SR data.
