system restore

When i tried system restore it will allow me to go to
previous month. i am sure that there is check point
available on the previous month.is there anything to do
with the year,like this is jan 2004,when we move back it
will be 2003,so isthere anything todo with the year.
 
As new restore points are created, older restore points are deleted. There
may well have been a restore point going back as far as you want but you
can't get to it because System Restore has already deleted that restore
point.

Short of your having an image of your setup back to that date, there is
nothing you can do to restore that restore point.
