System restore

Over the last few days, when ever I go to my favorite website www.pogo.com to play games, when I click on a room to go into, right as the game starts to load, it closes the game as well as the IE browser. I always go to this website and have never had trouble until recently. I contacted them and tey gave me a list of things I could try from cleaning out the cache and cookies (which I do on a regular basis) to removing and re-installing the Java. I even tried to do a system restore, which is the main reason for posting this. During the system restore a message keeps coming up restoratin incomplete, cannot restore. I have tried this 100 times today and dont know what to do. I keep choosing different restore times, but it doesnt matter which date I hcoose, nothing works. Please if someone can help, please tell me what I need to do to get my restore to work, and maybe even an answer and a fix as to why I can't play my games. Thanks in advance
 
Try doing a repair on your OS. Boot up to your Windows XP CD and follow the
options and after you press F8 to agree to the lisc. agreement there will be
a repair option. Give that a shot, it will not remove your data or programs,
it just repairs your OS.

Thanks for your response, however, I am a total idiot and do not understand what you mean. Can you please explain in dummies terms what you mean. Thanks
