Cannot use system restore. Error message "You must
restart computer and try again". SR is enabled, with max
allocation to drives. Any attempt to change settings
results in same error message. Tried safemode, safemode
w/command prompt to use the %systemroot%... listed in
help. no .ini file found that was listed in help.
no SR actions found in event viewer. Reformatting a
little too much for dealing with this! Any suggestions?

Thanks

.
dear pat i am having the same problem ever since i got
infected with a klez virus sometime ago and i think that
the only way to get the system restore back is to
reprogram again??? and that is what i want to do but do
not have sufficient expertise to run the xp software that
i was sent with this dell 4400 computer i have and also i
cannot get onto any secured sites at all since microsoft
took away my msn explorer unexpectedly and apparently
that is a registry problem and i do not have enough
expertise to correct that either and i have been trying
to find some answers and perhaps a book and i am looking
at some basic ones now and i wish you luck ron koffman
