I have a lot of external hdds. Some are for my original files and the other
half are used for backups. Because of this, I don't need System Restore
turned on for any of these drives. I've gone into System Restore and turned
off System Restore for these drives a lot of times but they keep getting
turned back on.

Is there another way to keep System Restore turned off for my external hard
drives? I still want it for the C drive. Maybe a Registry setting?

Hi Denise,
What happen when you right click My Computer >> Properties >> System Restore
Tab.
Select the drive you want to turn System Restore OFF then click the Settings
Button and check the check box for Turn Off system restore for this Drive and
also try to drag the selector for the space/Size to Zero!
Note: you have to be logged as Admin to do this.
