System Restore

I have done a clean installation of XP, and having let the system run for a
few days, I checked the System Restore checkpoints. The only checkpoint was
created during the installation of a program. There were no system
checkpoints created on any of the days even though I read that XP creates a
system checkpoint daily. Am I missing some step?

Not sure I know it will create checkpoint when programs
are installed and you can create checkpoints
start/programs/accessories/system tools/system restore/
create a checkpoint at other than restore to an earlier
time. But I do not belive it creates checkpoint without a
significant event.

Hope this helps.

I think if you read the data on the subject it say that a
restor point is made every 24hrs the system is running and
is on

I think if you read my post you might notice that I said that I had "let the
system run for a
few days" and still no restore points were made.

I guess you could call a long pause in activety a significant event,
because it will create one when that occurs.

I wonder if there is a configuration setting that isn't set. As I
said earlier, a long pause in activety always sets a resote point; but
of course I'm refering to "GoBack", no XP's restore.
