Does System restore work ey?

Start, run c:\windows\system32\rstrui.exe

thanks

Yes, it does. I did one in Safe Mode after installing a bad driver and
it worked perfectly. I find the placement of the option to create a
restore point a little odd (in the System applet instead of Backup &
Restore), but it worked just fine.

It doesn't open up for me in normal mode.

I guess it depends on your build. Because I'm a beta tester, I'm on 5365
now. There is even a nice feature in the System Configuration Utility
(msconfig) called "Tools" that let's you run various proggies like
rstrui.exe from it directly. Maybe this was in earlier builds but I
found them so annoying I didn't keep them on long enough to notice.

You've also apparently been having some problems with your Vista install
based on other posts you've made. If you are already on the latest
build, maybe you should do another clean install. It *is* beta and beta
means lots of wipes/installs.
