SYSTEM RESTORE

I've read many-a-question on this topic. My problem is: I can select a
highlighted date. The system whirrrrrs away, restarts and then comes up with
a window that says it was unable to complete the restore...."try picking
another date, etc" I have system restore memory set to a massive size; it IS
on, everything is set according to Dell/Microsoft. DO I NEED TO DISABLE
ANYTHING????? Remember, it does everything except finish the process. I'm
not looking for product opinions, just help.

Try running System Restore in Safe Mode first.
