System Restore

Why can"t I get system Restore to work. After I had trouble I cleaned
out all the old restore points. Yesterday I set a new restore point.
Today out of curiosity I tried to restore to yesterday's configuration
and it won't let me. I just liked knowing I could do that if some
software I was installing screwed up my computer. Is there anything I
can do?

Go to the following website and select "Error messages" in the left menu. Locate the error message you are seeing and click the link to see the issues and fix. If this does not solve the problem, click the "System Restore Support" in the left menu which will take you to the support forum. Post a message with as many details as possible and monitor that forum for a reply.

Thanks Ronnie,
Shutting off Symantec protection seemed to do the trick. Will I have
to do this anytime I want to do a system restore (not very often).
Should I leave it off? It still says Auto protect is on for my Incoming
E-mails.

Hi Captain Jim,

You don't want to leave the system unprotected, and I assume you would like
System Restore to function.

So I would suggest uninstall Norton completely, then find a anti virus
application that won't break and Windows built-in utilities.
