Can anyone advise as to how I can get system restore to work? When I try
to roll back to a restore point, it fails. This is a brand new computer (3
weeks) and Hewlett Packard is totally usesless and has done nothing to help
me. They tell me that this is a Microsoft issue (which it probably is but
they're supposed to know how to assist me with correcting this malfunction
and are essentially telling me now that I bought their product, tuff sh*t.)
I've already had to have a complete system recovery done on this computer
because the moment I turned it on, it wasn't working right and the computer
tech. I brought it to, suggested this would fix things....or a good starting
point to make the necessary corrections.
Only one time (out of many attempts) after doing a system restore, I
received the following message: "Windows - Registry Recovery. One of the
files containing system registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or
alternate copy. The recovery was susscessful." But it still isn't working.
ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP ME?
