I'm running a quite ordinary XP home edition.

I try to restore to an earlier date, highlighted on the 'calendar box' and
go through the motions. I receive the message that the system can not be
restored.

It doesn't matter which date I pick, the answers always the same.

Help!

Unfortunately System Restore sometimes gets corrupted. When it does, all you
can do is turn off System Restore, then turn it back on. That causes the
loss of all your restore points, but they're not usable anyway.

Hi Ken,

Many thanks. Here's hoping!
