my computer will nit restore. each time i try it says that i have an internet
connection and to turn it off. how do i do this

What is the exact *verbatim* text of the error message?

I can't find any references anywhere to a System Restore error message
that refers to the Internet. Have you checked your machine for
viruses and spyware recently? Get a "second opinion" by going to
http://housecall.trendmicro.com and doing a free online scan.
