I expirenced a very unusual problem today - I found that system restore had
turned its self off!
What could of caused this and also what could of answered 'yes' to the
dialoge box askin if system restore should be turned off?.

pheraps to stop this problem rearcuring , is there a regisrty setting that
you can change to make sure system restore can never be turned off/ disabaled
by a program/user.

today of all days i needed to use system restore after installing a faulty
driver and now im stuck with it .

system specs are:

Advent T9102 - Intel P4 HT 3.4GHz 1GB RAM 250GB Hard disk 256MB graphics
Onboard sound and Lan

Running windows XP Home SP 2 , all up to date
also running - Norton Internet security 2005 , Norton system works premier
2005 and Microsoft Anti-spyware.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks.

See MVP Bert Kinney's System Restore pages:

My first reaction would be to suspect Norton, but then I am admittedly
biased about Norton/Symantec products.

Good luck
