Ok, silly me, I accidently turned off system restore last
night. I turned my computer on this morning, and many of
my files and programs are not there. WHenever I go to
the start menu, NOTHING is in the programs list, but I
CAN search for the files in my computer and find most of
them. I mean, even the Accesories folder doesnt have
anything in there. Also, all my iTunes songs files are
gone, BUT iTunes program itself is still there. My Kodak
picture files are all there, but I can't seem to get
Microsoft Office to work. Any suggestions on what I can
do as obviously there are no system restore
points..............

Turning off System Restore should not be the cause. If
you ever want to flush files or restore points that is
how it's done turn off reboot turn on reboot. Anyway
check your system out for Malicious Files.

I do think that when you turn system restore off, it
deletes all past restore points. I have ran virus checks
with latest updates and they find nothing...
