When I make a backup in System Restore it takes hours
instead of 15 minutes and takes up over 10 gigs of my
hard disk space. What is up with this? Is this right?
It doubles the space when I back it up.

Craig;
Are you backing up System Restore?
If so, there is no need as the saved restore points are unusable.

There may be corrupted data in system Restore.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.
