sophie

hello.

because i had cleaned out the trojan horse that my
computer had (catched it on june 16th) yesterday, i wanted
to system restore. the latest back-date i had on the
window calendar was january 2003. so i restored to that
date. in doing so, it demolished all the files that were
sitting on my desktop. i want it to un-restore back to a
more recent date. say, a few days before i caught the
trojan horse --but it is not an option on the calendar. it
jumps from january 2003 to yesterday. the dell support
person told me restore to the 17th. i did, and it did
nothing. i think the checkpoint for that day was a
checkpoint of the january 2003 date i had restored to. it
did nothing.

can anyone help me figure out why i don't have checkpoints
between january 2003 and yesterday? it was there
previously. i system restored in early may, and i had
checkpoint dates in 2004. where are they?!

and is it possible to even get those files that were on my
desktop back?

i'd really appreciate your help.

sincerely,
sophie
