System restore won't work anymore

I reinstalled windows xp, after I did that the system
works fine except my system restore is "missing". This is
what it said exactly:
"The procedure entry period
RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be located
in the dynamic link library WINSTA.dll"
So please HELP!! :) Thanks.

and same msg. Any other suggestions?

Curious then, why it happens, as I've seen it listed a number of times. I
was wondering if it was related to the reinstall (hence my last question).

Sorry I didn't get back here sooner - I had forgotten how
I got here. I reinstalled xp because I had put in a new
hard drive. Something happened (I'm not sure what exactly)
and xp didn't work properly, so I reinstalled it just to
be safe. So much for being safe, now I don't have system
restore!! I don't have any other problems with xp, in fact
works great, except for the above problem.
