After try to install a new geaphics card I had some problems with some game applications so I uninstalled new card and reinstalled old card. I still had problems so tried to do a systems restore but it will not work. I get a message that I am "unable to restore" no matter what date I try to go to. Is there a fix-it patch I can download?

I deleted all my restore points and now have to try something different. Oops.now I have no restore point to go back to.

Your half way there,S/R will not restore when the files
are corrupted to fix it you need to shut it off and
reboot then turn it back on again and reboot a second
time this second reboot checks to see if S/R is able to
create an auto chekpoint. As for the video card goes did
you go to the MFG's website for the latest drivers?
There's no telling how long it was sitting on the shelf
the drivers on the CD could be quite old

Thanks MAP. Yeah..I downloaded the new drivers after I had a problem with a game that I was trying to play, America's Army on-line. I couldn't start the game after installing the new graphics card. Message told me to go into BIOS and delete "ini.files". So,since I didn't know how to do that, I uninstalled new card and reinstalled old card but still had the same problem. I tried a s/r but it wouldn't take no matter what saved date I went to. It always restored before this card installation problem so figured that I must have screwed something up. Guess I'll have to pay the computer store people $ 100 again to clear out my harddrive and reinstall XP. Sure am getting tired of doing that. Thanks again.
