I have 88 GB free on my Vista Drive
When I go to system restore , it won't show earlier restore
points ( just some of yesterday restore points ).

The Windows Help file says it can use up to 15% of the
drive . Using Windows Vista Home Premium.

I can't find a way to show earlier restore points .

Thanks

"Some" of yesterday's restore points? It sounds like you made of lot of
changes to the system yesterday, which may have overwritten earlier restore
points due to disk space limitations. Once they're gone, they're gone. But
System Restore (now called "System Protection" in parts of Vista, but it's
still System Restore in Accessories\System Tools) shouldn't be your main
means of protection from configuration errors. I'm not sure about the
reliability of Vista's System Restore, but on XP, even if you could select a
restore point, it often wouldn't work.

Sadly, Vista's new Backup is so stripped down and crippled that you can't
back up just your system files and registry -- you have to do a /complete/
system backup to storage that does not contain the system or boot
partitions.

I'm currently investigating other backup solutions for Vista and will report
back to this forum when I'm done.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you're out of luck

Nope - two minor updates , and 2 or 3 installs in the previous two
days ( small programs ) , where I made manual restore points.
