Hello everyone,

I am trying to Restore my computer to the very first day
that I had it, which was almost 2 years ago.

When I went into the System Restore Wizard... I was only
able to restore it, Dec. 1st - 6th (today) of 2003.

There are a lot of problems on this computer, and I would
prefer to just start all over again if possible... Does
anyone know how to do this?

I have tried reinstalling Windows XP, but when I go into
my computer after it finishes installing, which takes
almost an hour, EVERYTHING is still there, all of the
folders and everything!!

If someone could help me out on this, and maybe tell me
how do just delete EVERYTHING so I can start off FRESH, I
would VERY MUCH appreciate it!

Thank you so much!

Kyle

you will lose everything on your computer if you do this so it's a last
resort.

enter your bios and change the boot device priority to 'boot from cd rom'.

then restart your system with the windows xp cd in it and when you get a
message to 'press any key to boot from cd' then do it.

you can then re-install or repair xp.

don't forget to change the bios boot order back to hard drive when done.

Kyle, if you want to restore your PC back to manufactures
conditions, which i take it is what you want, then I take
it that you have your "3" CDs to do this, that is of
course if you r running XP ? firstly inset disc "1" and
before it starts reading it, turn off PC then on again,
leave to load, then follow instructions, if screen
says " this will delete all files on hard drive" then
you know you have chosen the right option. then leave it
to it....good luck
