Okay all you experts here's the problem:
1) It all began when system restore stated that a
restore point could not be located in a winsta.dll. I
even lost the ability to turn off system restore on my
system, ie.. the tab had disappeared from the system
properties window in the control panel. Refusing to
function which caused me to reinstall windows..and still
not have the issue resolved. (After starting from
scratch, I now keep a backup of that .dll on a separate
disk.)
2) Now my System Restore decides to drop points.
And I have checked all the memory...so I know I have more
than enough space. I also know that it is turned on, as
is my Task scheduler.
Is there a conflict with Norton Sytemworks 2003
possibly? I made sure I did not install the Norton
Systemworks 2003 "Go Back.." This way I only have 1
restore program on the computer.
Is this a virus which attacks these systems?
Your thoughts experts, because I do NOT want to wipe this
harddrive again!
