Dear All,

have cleaned the system but the system restore option is still not visible
when I check My Computer propoerties. How to get it back?
Thanks.

system restore is a service provided by the os.
It's probably service is stopped.

go to start
run window
type services.msc
and then find the service system restore and restart it.

hope this can help you.

You can also try this.
1.. Click Start.
2.. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
3.. Click the System Restore tab.
4.. Uncheck the "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on
all drives" check box.
5.. Click Apply, and then click OK.

Thanks for the help, I have done accordingly, in the list it is said that
the system restore is started. But I still can't find the tab in My Computer
properties. Any clues?

I also noticed, when trying to access to the boot services by running
msconfig, when clicking on "launch system restore", the message I get is
"Systeme Restore has been turned off by group policy. TO turn on system
restore contact your domain administrator"

Are you logging as administrator ??

if you aren't. it's probably you do not have the right to use it.

On the other hand, check your system setting:
go to start
run window
type msconfig
general tab
run system restore

If this does not work. check you have 200 mb available in your hard disk
for system restore
work properly.

hope this could help.
