I run Win XP Pro, and I'm having a spot of bother with "System Restore"

Even though it's turned on,it won't show any restore points whats so

ever, including the ones that I create myself.

Also the ''Calendar and List Tabs'' don't do anything.

Is anybody else familiar with this problem.

Regards

Fran...............

Fran...this may not be of too much help to ya..but will give some hope.
I have xp home and had lost all of my previously restored points and
couldn't do anything either. Unfortunately I was new to the computer
world, and made a lot of mistakes in the beginning. I forgot how I did
it but I had some how turned it off.. I messed around a little with the
options on the system restore page and found where I screwed up. It has
been over a year since I did that and right now am writing with the
webtv so I can't look around. Hope that this helps..a little. I can
look around more this week end to see or try to retrace what I did. I
will also check back to see if someone else has helped you..Brent

Thanks Brent,

I followed your suggestions and I think I have worked it out.

System Restore needs 200mg free space on the Op Syst Partition in order for
it to function,.....

anything less and it will stop.....Even though my Op Syst drive ( C ) had
over 1 gig free space, my

other Partitions D,E.F,G where were nearly full.

So I disabled System Restore on Partition D,E,F,G and enabled only OP Syst
C.... and found that it

seemed too work ...............Of course now only Partition C is
protected.

So I feel that you need 200mg free space on most if not all Partitions for
Syst Restore to function.........

I hope you can follow this,.................and I hope I got it right.

So I now have Syst Restore on Partition C only ...........where before it
wouldn't work at all.

Regards

Fran.................
