System Restore missing

I have XP Pro. and all of a sudden system restore is
gone, how do I get it back??? Do I have to reinstall or
is there some other fix that I can use?
 
Right click My Computer on desktop>Click Properties>Click System Restore
Tab>UNCHECK "Turn Off System Restore">Increase Restore Disk Space to MAX>
