couple questions: we upgraded from WIN98 to XP pro
everything was great unil system performance issues. So
to resolve it we installed a new version of XP pro.
NOW it shows our files still available but many times we
get an error message. unable to locate component
application failed to start/was not found.
1. we are unable to use system restore, it gives us a
very similar message, unable to locate component
application could not start because srrstr.dll was not
found.
2. in order to use windows XP themes and use the printer
Everytime we start the computer we have to go to sevices
(local)in administrative tools and start the these two
(themes, and print spooler)services manually. it does
show in properties as being automatic startup type yet
soon as we turn it off then on again same old story.
