SYSTEM RESTORE LOST MY PICTURES ETC

HELPPPPPPP!!!!
I was removing some old games that I didn't need anymore (with add/remove
program) and found that my pc, after having to reboot, didn't work correctly,
many files were missing. So, after exhausting all options, I had to do a
system restore. After I did that, I cannot find any pictures that I had on my
pc nor any microsoft word documents that I have saved. So, I did another SR
to a day earlier and still the same thing. I have searched for the files but
they dont show up. The folders are there, but when I open up the folders,
there is nothing in them. What do I do???? I have never had this problem
before and I'm completely stumped!
Thanks for your help
Sue

Hello Bert,
Well, I tried that software that you wrote about. I found all of the
missing folders/files however, when I tried to open up the folders, there was
nothing in them. Its showing the folders, and the proper file to open it, but
when its opened, there is nothing in the folder. Where could they have
possibly gone? I didn't do anything "serious" to the pc except SR. I'm so
confused...
any more advise will be greatly appreciated.
thanks
sue

What kind of files were missing? Did you do anything else in addition to
using Add/Remove (e.g., did you use a registry "cleaner"?)?

Where had you saved them to initially? My Documents folder? My Pictures
folder? Elsewhere?

Have you tried undoing the System Restore?

Have you ruled out infestation with a virus?
