System Restore lack of history

I have installed XP patches and fixes recommended by
Microsoft and now I can not restore my system to a
previous date. There are no prior restore points on the
calander and I can not access any day other than "today".
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many things can cause loss of Restore Points, when they are gone, they
are gone and can not be recovered or used.
Some of the things are:
Available space on hard drive
Computer usage
Space you dedicate to System Restore
