System Restore Including Documents

Can you do a System Restore that restores everything including all documents?
I have a software program that is not working any more and I think it is a
document - can I do a restore that deletes documents to the date of restore?
Any help would be much appricated!
 
System Restore does not touch documents. You should restore the files you
need from a recent backup.
