Just noticed a problem. I upgraded a WIN98SE PC to XP Pro.
There is no "Performance & Maintenance" folder in the
Control Panel. Also, there is no "System Restore" in
System Tools. Where did they go? The "System Restore"
service is installed and running. TIA

SOLUTION:

Do yourself a favor, go back using Win98SE! You can not
resolve sharing conflicts or change the resources in
WinXP. The box is greyed out in WinXP and not accessible
anymore! Win98SE does not have this flaw. They hide
things in WinXP, but they have many things unaccessible
too.

Also, do yourself another big favor, DO NOT USE SYSTEM
RESTORE! Use Roxio GoBack instead, an included program in
Symantec Norton System Works! This one works and works
well, never leaving you with a computer that will not
boot, and a restore point that is either missing or has
not been chosen to be put in the list, should something
happen. GoBack works great, often at least getting you
into a working computer situation again, something System
Restore will not leave you with.
