My Acrobat Reader suddenly stopped working - I can's open
the file, the error for 5.0 is "can't find temporary
file". Upgraded to 6.0 - same thing. So I decided to
restore to an earlier check point. turns out no matter
shich check point I choose, in the end on final reboot,
it says "unable to restore to this checkpoint, choose
another one". I do not know if these two are related, but
do you have any advice why the system restore might not
work?

Alex;
There may be corrupted data in system Restore.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.
