Hi, I've used system restore with no problem before.
Now it says operation failed.
I've tried going back 2 months & trying in safe mode with
same result.
Anyone have any tips please?
Thanks

A system restore point is created each day by default. When a program is
installed, or some other change to the system is made, a new restore point
is created. When a new point is created, the oldest one is deleted.

To be able to go back 2 months means you would have to have at least 60
restore points. If you have enough disk space allotted to restore, for that
many points, you need more help than you are asking for in this post.

Why do you need to do a restore?

Dave;
There may be corrupted data in system Restore.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.
