System Restore Errors

Windows XP Home
System Restore is not working. Do not know if any restore points have been
created.

Tried to start System Restore Wizard received error message:
"System Restore is not able to protect your computer. Please restart your
computer and then run System Restore again."
Restart does not corrrect problem.

Also, tried to test by checking Turn Off System Restore Box
received message about drives being unavailable. Check in box disappears.

Thanks for the tip I am passing this problem along to AumHA System Restore
Forum with some additional information they need.
