I have a Dell Inspiron 530s purchased 5/08. I upgraded from Vista to Vista
Ultimate. I recently tried to install the Windows 7 Beta and received a
message that it could not identify my drives and I could not download the
program.

I tried to do a System Restore and received the following message:

There was an unexpected error in the property page:
The Volume Shadow Copy Service used by System Restore is not working.
For more information view the event log (0x81000202).
Please close the property page and try again.

I retried several times but it does not work. I tried getting info at
Microsoft Support but there was nothing available on this event log #.

Help!.......MP831

Hello Jeff. I've never heard of this team. Could you provide a URL to the
team's web presence? It would be most helpful.

Thanks!

Hmm ... I see that when challenged there's no disclosure of the team and
what they are mandated to do. I would think that their web site would come
up at the top of a google search. Nada.

So who is this guy? This is a Microsoft forum so shouldn't somebody know
who he is - if indeed he's legit? If not, shouldn't they ban the guy?

This is Usenet - not a forum (Google it) - and in Usenet there is no
such thing as "ban the guy".

You should have noticed that most of those links had someone claiming
to be from the WOT. I would suspect it's legit, but I didn't examine
any message headers.
