System restore doesn't work in XP

The system restore function doesn't work on my
windows XP. I tried running it in safe mode and still no
luck. Any ideas? Many thanks--chuck
 
Yep, I have the same problem. It just opens a white page.
I've also tried what you did.

Anyone w/ help. I already read those tutorials or
whatever they are from Microsoft.com and they did not
help.

What exactly happens when you try to run System Restore?

Are there any available restore points listed, or does it fail before
it gets that far?

Do you have any Norton viruses/////products installed on your
computer? They are well known for causing problems with System
Restore (and just about every other aspect of a computer).
